Its National Ice Cream Day! As if we need an excuse. These edible flower sprinkles are so pretty and if you want to enjoy your ice cream the healthy way (ahem) what’s more perfect?
The edible flower petals I’ve used here are calendula and cornflowers. I like the way that the strong blue and orange colours work together but lots of other edible flowers would be just as lovely. I would avoid strong tasting savory flowers like chives though, unless you like your ice cream to have a distinct onion-y flavour!
